Author of Make Social Learning Stick!, Elizabeth Sautter, MA, CCC-SLP, will be presenting a breakout session at The 8th Annual Social Thinking Global Providers' Conference June 19-21, in San Francisco, CA.
Alongside Liz Weldon, Sautter will be presenting Collaborating With Caregivers to Make Social Learning Stick, a breakout that examines why parents are a critical part in the social learning therapeutic process. Participants of this session will also learn how to utilize strategies from the Hanen program to effectively teach and support parents/caregivers and make curriculum and strategies user-friendly, practical, and tangible.
Therapists working with students in preschool through high school, in private practice, and in private and public schools will be introduced to new approaches and learn how to use them for themselves and the entire family. Specific examples of tools and strategies that can be used in the home environment will be provided. Finally, videos of parent training and coaching will give participants a visual model of what parent training strategies look like.
The annual Social Thinking Global Providers' Conference encourages practitioners from around the globe to congregate and learn from each other in order to continually advance how we teach about the social world. Every summer, hundreds of educators, professionals, and family advocates come together to network and share strategies and lessons.
