Building upon the success of the best-selling Strategies at Hand: Quick and Handy Strategies for Working with Students on the Autism Spectrum, authors Mueller and Brewer tackle the critical issue of behavior in their latest practical resource for parents, teachers and other professionals. Using the same handy flip book format that made their earlier autism spectrum disorder resource such a welcomed tool, Strategies at Hand: Quick Positive Behavior Support Strategies contains a wide range of behavioral supports divided into Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Interventions, in keeping with the Response to Intervention (RTI) continuum. In addition to practical suggestions for each level, Strategies at Hand provides a quick overview of how to conduct a functional behavioral assessment, collect data and much more - all in color-coded sections that make it ideal for quickly solving problems on the spot. Customer Review: Amazon Customer - Great tool for educators. It's one of those tools that you can use when you start teaching or when you are experienced and just need to brainstorm some ideas.

Customer Review: Mary Castaneda - The Strategies at Hand teacher's support publication is a handy-dandy resource for teachers of Autistic students. It is also useful for any teachers needing a short and sweet list of tips for the classroom. I actually had one a few years ago and lent it to a collegue. It was never returned, and I had to purchase another! It is reasonable priced, so giving it away was no great loss, especially when I knew that it would be utiized! There are helpful hits about classroom organization, discipline methods, and positive reinforcement tips. The small hand- held file organization design makes this additionally usefull.
